Main main Highlights

3.3 B Karki to McLean, FOUR Full, on leg, and that's a muscular flick through vacant square-leg. 4.1 B Karki to Page, FOUR An inauspicious start: short and murdered over mid-wicket. 5.3 K Karki to Page, SIX Boom! Straight over the top and into the flats which overlook the ground. Lovely shot. I think it landed in the apartment which used to be owned by Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey!
R McLean lbw b B Karki 12 (28 balls, 1x4, 0x6) SR: 42.86
Partnership of 36 in 47 balls
Scotland U19 36-1 in 7.5 overs
7.5 B Karki to McLean, OUT - LBW! And the first goes down...McLean was a long way forward, but that was not going over the top. Beaten by a lack of turn, I would guess. 8.2 Baskota to Page, FOUR Leg-sidish, and turned very fine to the boundary. 12.3 Baskota to Coleman, FOUR
S Page c Karn b Vishwakarma 27 (52 balls, 2x4, 1x6) SR: 51.92
Partnership of 35 in 55 balls
Scotland U19 71-2 in 17.0 overs
16.6 Vishwakarma to Page, OUT - CAUGHT! Another moon ball, and this time Page cannot resist: it comes of the very bottom of the bat and long-off takes a fairly routine catch. 19.2 Airee to Cross, FOUR Nice shot, glided past point and a diving third man can only push it on past the ropes. Lovely timing. 19.5 Airee to Coleman, FOUR Full toss, clipped to the left of mid-wicket. Well-timed, well-placed.
M Cross run out 12 (22 balls, 1x4, 0x6) SR: 54.55
Partnership of 21 in 31 balls
Scotland U19 92-3 in 22.1 overs
22.1 Vishwakarma to Cross, RUN OUT! That is a brilliant piece of fielding...Cross drove this hard to the right of extra cover, who dived, gathered cleanly, and returned to the keeper before Cross - who had only taken a few steps down the pitch - could regain his ground.
P Ross run out 5 (18 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 27.78
Partnership of 10 in 28 balls
Scotland U19 102-4 in 26.5 overs
26.5 Pun to Coleman, RUN OUT! Another run out from Baskota! To be fair, this may have been Coleman's fault - he pushed it into the gap at cover and did not appear to call immediately. Ross was struggling and a direct hit had him on his way. 29.5 Baskota to Coleman, FOUR Coleman relieves the pressue with a lap-sweep, which runs away very fine. 43.6 Vishwakarma to Bailwal, FOUR A first boundary for Bailwal! He clears the front leg and swings this past mid-wicket into the pavilion fence. 44.2 K Karki to Bailwal, FOUR Good shot, lap-sweeping the seamer over short-fine-leg's head.
A Bailwal c B Karki b K Karki 39 (50 balls, 2x4, 0x6) SR: 78.00
Partnership of 83 in 106 balls
Scotland U19 185-5 in 44.3 overs
44.3 K Karki to Bailwal, OUT - CAUGHT! Short and wide...but smashed straight to point. Bailwal will be distraught, but that was a decent innings. 44.6 K Karki to Coleman, FOUR Scythed up and over point.
H Edwards bowled B Karki 3 (9 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 33.33
Partnership of 14 in 12 balls
Scotland U19 199-6 in 46.3 overs
46.3 B Karki to Edwards, OUT - BOWLED! That's a poor shot, a wild swing across the line and off stump lies crooked.
S McElnea st Khakurel b B Karki 0 (3 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00
Partnership of 0 in 3 balls
Scotland U19 199-7 in 47.0 overs
46.6 B Karki to McElnea, OUT - STUMPED! Now he comes forward, but too far...and without hitting it. 47.6 Vishwakarma to Legget, FOUR And a good shot to redeem the over, swept fine to the right of backward square. 48.1 B Karki to Coleman, FOUR Shot. A couple of steps, and straight over the bowler's head. 48.2 B Karki to Coleman, FOUR Evading long-on, Coleman makes it two and two, flicking this over short mid-wicket.
F Coleman c Rahman b B Karki 81 (104 balls, 6x4, 0x6) SR: 77.88
Partnership of 15 in 9 balls
Scotland U19 214-8 in 48.3 overs
48.3 B Karki to Coleman, OUT - CAUGHT! But that is that...a fine innings concludes as Coleman is beaten in the flight, chipping it to straight mid-wicket.
P Legget bowled B Karki 6 (6 balls, 1x4, 0x6) SR: 100.00
Partnership of 0 in 1 balls
Scotland U19 214-10 in 49.0 overs
48.6 B Karki to Legget, OUT - BOWLED! And five for Karki! Scotland have imploded in the last seven overs, losing six for 29. This was too full, too quick, and too straight for Legget.
S Khakurel bowled Sadler 0 (2 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00
Partnership of 0 in 2 balls
Nepal U19 0-1 in 0.2 overs
0.2 Sadler to Khakurel, OUT - BOWLED! And that is the perfect start! It looked like a cracking delivery, just clipping off bail. The rest of the stumps remain intact and the off bail lies beside the stumps.
S Pun c Cross b Sadler 0 (1 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00
Partnership of 0 in 1 balls
Nepal U19 0-2 in 0.3 overs
0.3 Sadler to Pun, OUT - CAUGHT! And it's two in two! A brilliant start from Sadler, who bowls short of a length and finds the outside edge. It's the simplest of catches for Cross behind the stumps and Scotland are rampant!
F Rahman bowled McElnea 4 (8 balls, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 50.00
Partnership of 7 in 20 balls
Nepal U19 7-3 in 3.5 overs
3.5 McElnea to Rahman, OUT - BOWLED! Still, justice is done. That was a terrible shot, the batsman's head in the air and the aim somewhere towards mid-wicket. This could be over very quickly... 4.5 Sadler to Budhaayer, FOUR A full ball and a lovely shot, eased through the covers. 7.3 McElnea to Budhaayer, FOUR
N Budhaayer c Bailwal b Sadler 12 (34 balls, 2x4, 0x6) SR: 35.29
Partnership of 13 in 31 balls
Nepal U19 20-4 in 9.0 overs
8.6 Sadler to Budhaayer, OUT - CAUGHT! And Sadler takes a third. That was a soft dismissal, as an attempted drive simply loops up to point.
10.5 Sadler to Airee, FOUR That's (un)lucky...an outside edge races to fine third man for four. 11.2 McElnea to Baskota, FOUR A thick outside edge flashes past point and a despairing dive on the boundary doesn't save the four. 11.4 McElnea to Airee, FOUR That's one way to deal with the situation: hammer it over mid-off!
P Airee bowled Page 9 (12 balls, 2x4, 0x6) SR: 75.00
Partnership of 17 in 32 balls
Nepal U19 37-5 in 14.2 overs
14.2 Page to Airee, OUT - BOWLED! And it's followed up with a wicket, Airee yorked as Scotland close in on victory.

Is it time to replace a below-par Harbhajan Singh?

Big Picture
England's comprehensive victory at Lord's, with a performance hailed by their captain as "outstanding", has put them one step closer to the much-desired No. 1 spot in the ICC Test rankings. Some are already proclaiming them the best team in the world, irrespective of what the rankings say. Others suggest they aren't yet, and that judgment should be withheld until later in the series, given India's remarkable knack of bouncing back after defeats in series-openers.
An injury-hit India presents England with a great opportunity to settle the debate. MS Dhoni's side is crippled by the loss of arguably their most influential player, Zaheer Khan, due to a hamstring problem.
What will make it worse is if Gautam Gambhir, who is still recovering from a blow to the elbow he took in the first Test, joins the injury list. While India at least have a couple of back-up quick bowlers to choose from to replace Zaheer, Gambhir's absence could end up upsetting the batting configuration. One of three makeshift openers will have to be employed - Yuvraj Singh, Rahul Dravid or Wriddhiman Saha - and the experienced middle order, India's biggest strength, could be exposed early to the swinging ball.
England start as favourites in Trent Bridge, but as India have repeatedly shown, they are a surprisingly resilient side, regularly managing to circumvent problems caused by their relatively weak bowling line-up. Can they do it once again?
 Form guide (most recent first)

India LDDWD
 In the spotlight
Harbhajan Singh's place in the XI has rarely come under the scanner, especially after his ascension to the lead spinner's role after the retirement of Anil Kumble nearly three years ago. Now, though, questions are being asked after a run-of-the-mill performance in the Caribbean was followed up with a 1 for 218 at Lord's. While the track for the first Test didn't offer much for the spinners, Harbhajan's inability to keep the runs down hurt a Zaheer-less India. He needs three more caps to complete 100 Tests, a milestone he may not reach in this series unless he turns his form around.
At Trent Bridge four years ago, Matt Prior's career hit one of its lows when he faced a barrage of criticism for the infamous jelly bean saga. Now he returns to the venue acclaimed by some as the best Test wicketkeeper-batsman in the world. With four centuries in the past year and an average that has soared to the mid-forties, Prior has made quite a convincing case.
 Team news
The most settled side in world cricket, England's only concern is the hamstring problem that is troubling their tall fast bowler Chris Tremlett. Andrew Strauss is confident Tremlett will be fit to play but even if he isn't, there's a ready replacement in Tim Bresnan. The rest of the XI are certain picks. England 1 Alastair Cook, 2 Andrew Strauss (capt), 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Kevin Pietersen, 5 Ian Bell, 6 Eoin Morgan, 7 Matt Prior (wk), 8 Graeme Swann, 9 Stuart Broad, 10 Chris Tremlett/Tim Bresnan, 11 James Anderson
India have more to ponder. The good news for Indian fans is Sachin Tendulkar has recovered from the viral fever that troubled him in the first Test. The bad news is that Zaheer is out and Gambhir could join him on the sidelines. Sreesanth is likely to get his first Test since Cape Town six months ago, and Yuvraj Singh could get yet another shot at reviving his Test career.
India 1 Abhinav Mukund, 2 Gautam Gambhir/Yuvraj Singh, 3 Rahul Dravid, 4 Sachin Tendulkar, 5 VVS Laxman, 6 Suresh Raina, 7 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Praveen Kumar, 10 Ishant Sharma, 11 Sreesanth
 Pitch and conditions
This is a ground that is famous for its swing, and teams have struggled to score big in recent years. India's phalanx of experienced batsmen can expect a thorough workout against an on-song England pace attack. The clouds are expected to stay away this week, with warm and dry weather forecast.
 Stats and trivia
  • Trent Bridge has been one of the most challenging Test venues for batsmen since 2005, with only Sabina Park having a lower runs-per-wicket ratio.
  • James Anderson has an outstanding record at Trent Bridge, bagging 28 wickets at 15.89 in four Tests
  • In this match, Tendulkar will become the first man to play 100 away Tests. The next person on the list is Rahul Dravid with 87 overseas Tests.

Quotes
"We don't want to look at the negatives, we want to look at the positives, this will give a chance for someone to become a hero."
MS Dhoni makes light of the injuries to key India players
"If we can make it 2-0 here this week we are in a brilliant position to win the series. We aren't looking at Edgbaston or The Oval."
Andrew Strauss is focusing on the here and now                                                                                            Source for Preview:Cricinfo.com

It has been a peculiar Copa America. South American giants Brazil and Argentina have fallen with red-faced thuds as so-called underdogs have arced their necks. Drama, meanwhile, has presented itself in spurts. Now for one final twist as Paraguay lock horns with Uruguay in this Sunday's final at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires. Uruguay are favourites to triumph, but their opponents have this tournament made a habit of squeezing out results, having not won a game in normal time.
That Paraguay are in this weekend's showpiece courtesy of a winless path is worthy of dissection. Drawn in Group B alongside Brazil, Venezuela and Ecuador, Paraguay played out a goalless draw in their opening match versus the latter - this outcome would prove a familiar feeling for Gerardo Martino and his players. The nation was then denied victory in the 89th minute against Brazil, the match ending 2-2, before two late goals, this time versus Venezuela, meant three group games played and as many stalemates accrued.Despite being winless and finishing third, Paraguay advanced to the next phase as their neutral goal difference proved the second best of the teams that finished third. A repeat meeting with five-time World Cup winners Brazil beckoned, this time in the quarter-finals. No goals were scored over 120 minutes, so penalties awaited. Spectators were open-mouthed when Brazil missed all four of theirs, as Paraguay tucked home two of their three to reach the final four. Almost inevitably, Paraguay's semi-final meeting with Venezuela finished square. And they again held their nerve to win another spot-kick shootout.Uruguay, meanwhile, were hardly rampant in the group phase, winning just one of their three fixtures, but their return of five points proved enough to secure a runners-up berth. Oscar Tabarez's charges then faced the task of tackling hosts Argentina. The sides could not be split after a goal apiece in the first half, so, like Paraguay at the same stage, they headed for penalties. Uruguay were composed, scoring all five of their efforts as Carlos Tevez missed for Argentina. It was more routine in the semi-finals, a brace from Luis Suarez disposing of Peru. Now Uruguay are on the brink of making history. Should they emerge victorious against Paraguay then they will reach 15 South American titles, usurping heavyweights Argentina. This would be a remarkable feat that would reiterate Uruguay's continued ability to punch above their weight. Indeed, Uruguay, who boast two World Cup titles to their name, are the second-smallest nation in South America. Tabarez is the current man at the helm, and he has thoroughly impressed since his appointment in 2006, having led the team to the semi-finals of the World Cup last year.Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino, however, will be forced to watch his side from the stands after receiving a two-game touchline ban for his part in the fracas that marred the semi-final win over Venezuela. Martino was fined $10,000, while his team were accused by Venezuela boss Cesar Farias of provoking the melee. Their penchant for penalties, meanwhile, appears habitual. Under Martino, Paraguay were beaten by eventual winners Spain at the 2010 World Cup, having reached the last eight by - yes, you guessed it - a victory on penalties. Uruguay would be advised not to let their fate be decided by shots from 12 yards, though Ghana suffered at their hands in South Africa in a shoot-out.While La Albirroja have been rather unconvincing during this competition - although it is worth reiterating they came within a whisker of seeing off Brazil in the group stage - their supporters will unlikely care a jot, for they are playing in their first Copa America final for 32 years. Back in 1979, they beat Chile 3-1 on aggregate, claiming their second South American title. Speaking ahead of this weekend, Martino, said: "It feels like a miracle. But after two lots of extra-time we arrive at the final with almost no oxygen, with five or six injured and one suspended. Uruguay is in a different state. Their key players are rested, but we will fight to the utmost."Paraguay are sweating on the fitness of Roque Santa Cruz after the striker lasted just six minutes against Venezuela before having to be taken off through injury. Jonathan Santana will certainly miss out after his sending-off in the semi-finals. Tabarez, meanwhile, will weigh up whether to gamble on Edinson Cavani's fitness, in particular after Napoli president Antonio De Laurentiis stated: "I'll kill them if they've broken my Edinson."Uruguay player to watch: Luis Suarez. The twinkle-toed attacker will finish as top goalscorer of the tournament should he net on Sunday. Suarez currently has three goals to his name, the same number as Argentina's Sergio Aguero. Liverpool's Suarez boasts much quality, and he could be the deciding factor when the two sides clash. His dovetailing with strike partner Diego Forlan will give Paraguay's defence much to consider.Paraguay player to watch: Paulo da Silva. As the 'stats' section of this preview indicates, Paraguay are no strangers to playing without the ball, hence it is imperative they are switched on when not in possession. Da Silva, once of Sunderland, has been snarling in the tackle during the competition, managing 29 successful dispossessions to date. The Real Zaragoza centre-back looks set for a busy outing.Key Battle: Diego Lugano v Santa Cruz (if fit). The latter's availability would act as a huge fillip for Paraguay, but even if the Manchester City flop proves available he faces a stern task against the impressive Lugano. The Fenerbahce defender has been imposing in the heart of Uruguay's defence, receiving plaudits from sections of the press.Trivia: This is only the second Copa America final in 22 years when neither Brazil or Argentina will compete for the title.Stats: Paraguay have recorded the most unsuccessful passes in the tournament, with 223 going astray. But they have managed the most successful tackles, at 162.Prediction: Fatigue will be an intriguing issue with Paraguay having endured some draining outings in their route to the final. Can their defence can hold out concentration for 90 plus minutes against the buzzing Suarez? The bookmakers have Uruguay down as weighty favourites, and it is hard to look beyond La Celeste. Paraguay's pluck, demonstrated throughout, has been hard to ignore, and they are the unfashionable side to tip. Despite the temptation to be rogue, Uruguay should win.

Nepal’s fixtures for U19 World cup Qualifier tournament

KATHMANDU: Nepal U19 team will face their art rivals – Afghanistan, in the opening match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup qualifiers to be held on Ireland from July 28.
International Cricket Council (ICC) has already decided to scrap the format from next year, this will be the final opportunity for these 10 nations — two each from five continents — to make it to the ICC event through qualifiers.

After the match against Afghanistan, Nepal will face Scotland the next day. Nepal will play against Kenya on June 31 before facing Vanuatu on August 1. Nepal are scheduled to take on Canada on August 3 before playing three back-to-back matches against Namibia, Ireland and Papua New Guinea from August 5. Nepal will wrap up the campaign with a match against the United States of America on August 9.
Nepal have already picked a 18-member squad under the captaincy of Prithu Baskota, who led the team to runner-up finish in the U-19 Elite Cup behind Afghanistan in Thailand earlier this year.

• July 31 vs Kenya
• August 1 vs Vanuatu
